Oil on Canvas , 24x24, available © 2008 Karin H. Leonard ~~~ This painting resulted from an exciting recent plein-air outing, touting a 24x 24 canvas to my favorite stomping ground Point Lobos. Talk about wrangling wild horses! As you may know, most plein air artists (including myself) paint aproximately 11x14 outside, given wind, weather and quickly changing light. Though this was challenging, it also felt exhilerating to capture the wild beauty of this place. Take a peek at the resulting painting. And as I was about to pack up, a TV crew from Channel 10 (Sacramento) happened to pass through, and interviewed me.
